Illuminations and Epiphanies

I have spent my life learning incredible amounts of disparate, disconnected, obscure, useless pieces of information, and they have turned out to be, almost all of them, extremely useful. - Luca Turin Would I were so lucky as Dr. Turin.  I, too, seem to have accumulated an incredible amount of disparate, disconnected, obscure, and usless pieces of information, but I truly can't say I've found them extremely valuable--either professionally or financially.  Their acquisition, however, has provided me with an incredible amount of fun and enjoyment. And . . . that's what this website is all about.  It is a collection of my personal notes about a variety of subjects that interest me.  It is first and foremost here for me as a working file where I can record interesting things about topics that I find intersting.  Therefore, it will--by nature--never be complete, and, yes, I know that some of the sections haven't yet been--or have barely been--started. So what am I currently interested in? A word of caution, of course, is in order.  While the text throughout the site is my own and may be freely quoted or paraphrased by anyone who provides proper credit and citation, many of the images and music on these pages were not created by me, and they may well be copyrighted.  I am only using these files for my own personal edification, study, review, and critical analysis, which I believe is permissible within current intellectual property law.  I cannot give persmission for anyone to copy them or download them; it is up to any potential user to determine if their actions with regard to these files are permissible.
